Taking the trip out to the Monterey area for this Berwick Park engagement shoot was so worth it! Katie and Joey were such a treat to photograph. From the minute we began, they were cracking jokes left and right. We all definitely were laughing the whole way through and that's exactly the way I want every shoot to flow. I love that they chose to incorporate not only the city they first met in, but also the specific bench (lovingly referred to as the "Donut Bench") where Joey proposed! Over looking the beautiful Monterey Bay, I'd say this was the perfect spot for a proposal and subsequently for their engagement shoot. We lucked out with the weather too; no fog, and perfect golden light filtering through the cypress trees! Very excited for another wedding at the lovely Picchetti Winery this fall!

Retzlaff Winery could easily get overlooked in the numerous wineries across the Livermore area, but it's quaintness is exactly why it's such a great spot for a wedding! With plenty of rows of organic grape vines, a nice lawn area for the ceremony and reception and cute barn doors with pops of red and green, this venue is the perfect place for a wedding with a backyard feel. Madison and David were just darling together. After almost a decade of dating, these high school sweethearts can finally call each other husband and wife! There were so many details that made this day extra special. First and foremost, Harley and Finley, the beloved doggie ring bearers were cute as can be with their mint green bow ties and matching leashes! You could tell the love Madison & David both have for them is definitely reciprocated with lots of licks and kisses! Madison's bracelet was also very sentimental. Having inherited her late grandpa's wedding ring, she had it made into a bracelet and commemorated him by wearing it on her wedding day. All together now... "Awww"! I loved watching her grandma's face when she saw it for the first time. So sweet! All the other little details like the succulent favors and the lavender toss at the end of the ceremony were all just icing on the cake. The day came together so nicely and the new Mr. and Mrs. Goossens I know are going to live happily ever after!

There were so many wonderful things about Samantha & Min's wedding that I loved, it's hard to recount them all! First of all, shooting at Willow Heights Mansion is always fabulous: the decor, the lighting, the staff, the food...I could go on! Though it was an extremely hot day (if you're in the Bay Area, you know about the heat wave) this wedding was worth every second of the heat. Samantha's bridal details were just gorgeous, the flowers popped with hints of deep red accents, the wedding party was super fun and were good sports about bearing the heat and everyone genuinely just seemed like they were having an amazing time. Though Samantha shed many happy tears, I'd say the number of smiles and laughs I saw from her far outweighed those tears. She and Min were glowing throughout. It was so evident how loved they were by all the family and friends that surrounded them and the many heartfelt speeches! I swear, I get so lucky with the clients I have because they are all so sweet and kindhearted people. I'm spoiled! Now scroll down for some of my favorites images from this beautiful wedding!

What a great evening with Joanna and Ljay! We had a session full of laughter and lots of variety I'd say. We started off the shoot in downtown Willow Glen in San Jose. Joanna picked out a few favorite spots including this giant mural wall off Lincoln and an urban brick wall just down the street. Then we switched it up with a trip over to Alviso Marina County Park, which is such a unique place! It has these walkways with cool door frames that look like the shape of a house and the paths lead to the awesome salt ponds. I swear, we walked over to the salt ponds and felt like we were in a whole new location. With the way the sunset hit them, it almost looked like snow melting into the water. Really cool spot to check out if you've never been there! Joanna and Ljay are such a fun-loving couple, full of energy and smiles. I'm really looking forward to their Nestldown wedding in September! I know it'll be a magical day.

Kelsey and Blake's Picchetti Winery wedding was nothing short of fabulous! I adored working with them and seeing how much they truly love each other. Their Christ-centered bond is probably the cutest thing about them! They opted out of a first look, but wanted to still pray together before the ceremony and it was the sweetest "first touch". Not to mention Blake's face as Kelsey walked down the aisle was priceless. Those tears were enough to melt anyone's heart! Every chance someone got to say about a word about these two, they gushed over their love for God and how much each one of them has touched the lives of those they encounter. It was easy to see from spending just one day with them! They are simply genuine and kind-hearted people and I loved being a part of their wedding day. Their love started off on Instagram, but eventually took Kelsey from California to Texas to be closer to Blake. Love it or hate it, social media brings people together! Their story is unique, but I have a feeling will be much more common in the years to come. It was really special they chose me to photograph their wedding and I know with God guiding them, they will have a long and fruitful marriage!
It was another beautiful, sunny summer day! Nikki and Kenneth said their vows with gorgeous redwood trees as their backdrop and loving family and friends as their witnesses. You can see all the hard effort Nikki put into this DIY wedding. From the flowers to the invitations, somehow Nikki pulled it all off this year while still working and getting her Master's degree! I'd say she's a very impressive woman, and I'm sure her new husband Kenneth would agree! I just love seeing these two together. Kenneth always has a smile on his face and has an infectious laugh. That smile grows even bigger when his love is by his side. Nikki and Kenneth were so wonderful to work with and I'm so happy for them. I wish them nothing but the best in their marriage!

From high school to college to getting married (twice now!) Ryn and Patrick have gone through many seasons together! Meeting over a decade ago, these two have literally grown up side by side from their teenage years to their young adult lives. In fact, they've known each other so long that Ryn's dress is actually the same dress she wore back when she and Patrick went to Junior Prom together! How adorable is that?! After many years of dating, they finally tied the knot last year in their Catholic church with their family by their sides. Just a few months later, their baby Elizabeth was born and changed their lives! Not having had the full wedding experience with all their friends and family, Patrick and Ryn decided to plan a vow renewal and go all out on a proper party! That's where I come in :-)
The day was a hot and sunny one, but full of joy, laughter and many sentimental tears! Patrick and Ryn were so easy going and made the day a piece of cake! Speaking of cake, the best treat of the day was taking them out for their evening couple's portraits. We got the light just right and the beautiful eucalyptus trees down on the course at Seascape Golf Club looked breathtaking! It was definitely a fun day and I hope Ryn & Patrick got the exact wedding they were hoping for!
