A few of my favorite things:

Tall grass, long dresses, sunny skies and no shoes—this family got my vibe! The session, nestled in the Tehaleh neighborhood in Bonney Lake, felt so perfect.

Unfortunately, there was a mix up with the time and my clients showed up later than expected, but it totally worked out in our favor. The sunlight was just right when they came and everyone brought their A game! One thing I laugh about is how my heart swooned when Karianne said, we’re just gonna go with no shoes! It was all good till their adorable son just WASN’T having it; he needed his shoes! Discontentment turned to tears and even that was perfect. It’s in those moments when toddlers are upset or babies are fussing that parents have the opporutnity for snuggles, hugs, and comfort! I love those shots that come when a kid just needs some love and reassurance. Those are the real moments that actually make my heart sing! Karianne swooped him up in her arms and we got some super sweet and tender photos. He felt better, got his shoes, and we moved on to dancing, climbing, and running in the field!

Styling the Session

Lastly, can we talk about that gorgeous dress? Admittedly, I had no part in styling this family and I just love what they put together! Mama’s green dress is from Showpo and it was so flowy and dreamy! I think I ought to add it to my client closet! I had an amazing time with them and hope there are many more sessions with them in the coming years!
