Handmade Wedding Details

DIY weddings are so popular these days and I for one am a huge fan!  Nothing puts a unique spin on your wedding day like handmade details spread throughout your venue.  It not only makes your wedding stand out from the rest, it also gives the bride and groom an opportunity to showcase their personalities and interests in one of the most meaningful days in their lives!  Plus, weddings are not a cheap event and anything you find where you do-it-yourself will save you lots of money.

For instance, at this Stern Grove wedding in San Francisco, the bride chose simple flower arrangements and was able to pull together an array of various wildflowers with some baby's breath in a mason jar and make a lovely centerpiece.  Next, save some money and combine some elements such as the wedding favors and seating cards.  All the wedding favors were homemade vanilla extract and also served as the escort card telling each guest where they were seated.  For a fun spin, the bride gave each child a beautiful paper crown as their favor and also added a tag with their table number as well.  One of the most clever crafts of the day were the adorable felt flags waiting on each chair at the ceremony.  There was a variety of sayings scattered throughout, including the couple's wedding date, and the guests waved them as the newlyweds walked down the aisle.  Lots of cute details and some simple ways to save money.  That combination is always a win in my book.  Please feel free to Pin this image if you like what you see!
