Vickie and Jason's Wedding at The Terrace Room

Who knew Oakland could be so beautiful?!  Honestly, I've lived in the Bay Area my whole life and my dad is even from Oakland, yet some how I had never made it up to Lake Merritt before this wedding!   I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty on the waterfront with the reflection of the city in the lake.  Not to mention the gorgeous bride and dapper groom!  I must say, they looked GOOD! Each had their own vintage flare and definitely complimented one another nicely.  I think the coolest accessories had to be their paper flower bouquet and boutonniere made by More Paper Than Shoes.  They were beautifully crafted and a great idea to save as a keepsake.The ceremony and reception were held inside The Terrance Room at the Lake Merritt Hotel, which overlooked the lovely waterfront.  Great spot for a great party!  The reception was full of life with loud music, lots of dancing, and a full mariachi band.  We were treated to a choreographed first dance from Vickie and Jason and also two beautiful Spanish songs sung by the bride herself!  It was such a fun night and I was honored to be a part of it.  I wish the best of luck to Vickie and Jason and definitely hope to shoot with them again!
