Couple's Maternity Photo Session at Chambers Bay in Tacoma

What a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday evening! Sierra and her husband Luis were just the perfect couple for this warm, sunset session at Chambers Bay in University Place (Tacoma). With this being their first child, it was all eyes on the couple. I loved it! They were so affectionate with each and even when I wasn’t prompting, they just nailed the chemistry. Their love, anticipation of this little baby boy, and honest affection was just perfect.

Styling this Session

If I had just their love to document, the shoot would have been wonderful on its own, but let’s take a minute and talk about this dress! I’m a big fan of Style and Select for helping my clients style their session, but sometimes a session just calls for the ultimate train, flow and movement! That’s when I turned to Flutter Dress! The name doesn’t disappoint. I couldn’t help but tell Sierra multiple times to play with her dress or throw it! Movement in a session is so beautiful—whether that’s your dress, the wind in your hair or a walk down the beach, it’s all an extra element that brings life to your session!
