Santa Cruz Beach Maternity Shoot

Baby bumps, bellies, and the expectations of a new life!  Pregnancy is such a fascinating and beautiful thing to me.  I have yet to experience it, but I admire each and every woman who has endured it and brought a life into the world!  I had the honor of photographing Jennifer and her family as they fast approached the birth of their second child.  Jennifer gave birth only 3 1/2 weeks after this shoot and she was such a trooper!  We trekked down to 4 Mile Beach in Santa Cruz, just off highway 1 and we caught some gorgeous light.  Their adorable 2-year old daughter Darla was being camera shy, but I was able to snap some moments of her precious smile and curiosity with the sand.  Baby Dakota is growing fast and strong now.  I even got to meet the little one last week!  From the belly to a baby in the big world--it's just amazing how life forms.
